Nat King Cole

Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole: To The Ends of The Earth

I once said that I would go to the ends of the earth to find a piece of music that I wanted.  Indeed, there have been many pieces of music for which I really had to search far and wide.

Several years back, I saw a Johnny Mathis DVD which paid tribute to his 50 years in show business.  He sang a song called To The Ends of The Earth.  I was hooked.  I couldn’t stop singing it in my head, I just wasn’t as good as Johnny and there were no instruments.  I immediately went to the computer and searched . . . Amazon, looking for this song and it wasn’t there.

Just recently, I thought I would try again.  Surely, Johnny had recorded it by now.  And if he hadn’t, he needed to.  Then . . . low and behold, there was a record album from 1978 with Johnny singing, To The Ends of The Earth.  And wait . . . there was also Nat King Cole singing this song on a CD from an album he had recorded in the 1950s.  I bought both.  I have decided to play them both for you.  Not back to back, but very near each other.  See which one is your favorite.  I love them both.

I have named all of my personal playlists and I have over 100.  This playlist is called “Ruby One”.  .  I hope this ruby is for you.  I went all the way To The Ends of The Earth.  Tune in today at 4pm Eastern Time / 1pm Pacific Time.
