Sherry’s Cherries – Movie Soundtracks

Movies, Anyone?

I have been listening to this music in my art room all of my life. I’ve been collecting it since childhood. Sharing the music with you is one of my greatest joys. Thank you.

This week I will be debuting a new show, Sherry’s Cherries, and the first show will feature some of my favorite movie soundtracks. These are just some of my favorites. Many of us may remember the theme from A Summer’s Place, or Tara’s Theme from Gone with the Wind. The ones that I will play for you probably won’t be familiar, but may ultimately become some of your new favorites.

I’ll let you in on a secret. The first piece to be played is called Hook – Flight to Neverland. Every time I play it (and I play it often) I picture all of my cats (throughout my life) with me. We’re flying, much like Peter Pan. I will be closing the show with Defending Your Life. The music is gorgeous and if you see the movie, you will understand.

So listen for The High and the Mighty, The Prize, Friendly Persuasion and Life as a House. I have a strong feeling you will like these.

Look for featured artists like John Williams, Dimitri Tiomkin, George Duning, Jerome Moross and many more. Pay special attention to Themes (from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). The ending is unbelievable. Enjoy!

If you like these let me know.

Show Times

*Thursday, April 30th   at 2 pm Eastern Time / 11 am Pacific Time

*Sunday, May 3rd at 4 pm Eastern Time / 1 pm Pacific Time

*Tuesday, May 5th at 7 pm Eastern Time / 4 pm Pacific Time

*Please note, the shows are scheduled to begin at these exact times, but sometimes the prior song runs a little long, so the show may begin a few minutes late. The first song of the show you will hear is Hook – Flight to Neverland by John Williams.

With a song in my heart,

Sherry
