The Love Letter

Sherry’s ‌Cherries:‌ ‌From‌ ‌Cherry‌ ‌Blossom‌ ‌to‌ ‌Neverland‌

When my daughter was a baby, I used to put melodic music on each night when I tucked her in. She absolutely loved bedtime. Today she plays three instruments and is in two orchestras.

The music on my next Sherry’s Cherries pays tribute to “the melody.” Beautiful melodies can be calming, peaceful, or lift the spirit.

As a child my mother played music 24/7. I remember going to sleep with music playing and waking up with it. Many of these songs you will recognize, some as usual will be new.

Look for Lucia Micarelli’s Samarkand. She is a beautiful violinist who dances while she plays the instrument. Another beauty is Leonard Bernstein’s Danzon and Tchaikovsky’s Arabian Suite from the Nutcracker, a very sexy piece. Also, see if you can recognize With a Smile and A Song from Tony Osborne.

As of last count, I have more than 20,000 pieces of music. My husband always asks me, “Don’t you have enough already?” to which I always reply, “What’s enough?”

As usual, we may start a minute or two late, but you will know you have arrived at the destination when you hear Cherry Blossom by Percy Faith. We will close with Flying to Neverland with John Williams.

So, dear friends, relax and enjoy this one.

With a song in my heart,

Sherry
