Movies and music have always gone together. Just think Flashdance and Saturday Night Fever. But back in the 40s and 50s most of the popular music came from either Broadway shows or movies. Some of these songs are as recognized today as they were when they first came out.
When I’m in my art room, I play a mix of music from various walks of life (Movies, Broadway, Singers and… Beyond)! The other day, I was listening to several exquisite songs and thought, oh my goodness; I know the movie that song came from. So I’ve decided to present to you many songs that came from movies and became popular in their own right. Think of A Summer Place and Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, and you have the idea.
Please join Movies Broadway Singers and Beyond on Thursday, February 5th, at 4pm Eastern time / 1pm Pacific time as we present some incredible music from the movies. You’ll hear singers like Frank Sinatra, Jack Jones, Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand and others. We’re going back in time. I have my magic carpet. Please come aboard as we journey into the past.
