Who Knew They Could Sing! Dr. Jackpot Jackson & “Luke” Duke

Many years ago, I watched Trapper John with Pernell Roberts.  There was a wonderful young actor on the show who played Dr. Jackpot Jackson.  He was a charismatic actor and really added to the personality of the show.  Many years later, I was in New York in the audience of a Broadway play called Ragtime. Lo and behold . . . there he was . . .Jackpot Jackson. . . Brian Stokes Mitchell!  He had the most beautiful voice.  Who would have guessed that Jackpot could sing, and sing so well?

Here’s another one for you.  Remember Tom Wopat from the Dukes of Hazard?  Well, guess what?   Tom has a hauntingly beautiful voice that I just love.
