Vic Damone: Let’s Face the Music and Dance

Frank Sinatra was quoted as saying that Vic Damone had “the best pipes in the business”. Vic was an extraordinary singer and he created an incredible body of work. Vic passed away last month. Though Vic’s career had its ups and downs, Vic delighted his fans for decades. I saw him in Las Vegas with his then wife, Diahann Carroll, several years back. He was still handsome and his voice was magical. His son, the late Perry Damone, was a radio disc jockey in my home town of Phoenix, AZ.

Movies Broadway Singers and Beyond will pay tribute to Vic Damone on Thursday, March 15th, at 1pm Eastern / 10 am Pacific Time. You will hear his wonderful voice and the work of some of the best musical composers and lyrists like Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Johnny Mercer, Jerome Kern and others.

With a song in my heart.

Sherry
